Nexus provides professional DJ services for private events, parties, celebrations, business functions, and other gatherings throughout the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. The focus is simple: reliable sound, appropriate music, and a smooth event from setup through the final track.

No canned playlist required.
A good DJ setup should support the event instead of taking it over. Music can span decades and styles — from classic favorites through today's music — while still allowing room to adjust to the audience and energy of the event.
Nexus has a particular specialization in 1980s music, with deep familiarity across the decade's pop, rock, new wave, alternative, dance, electronic, R&B, and other era-defining sounds. An all-80s event is welcome, but the music does not have to stay in one decade.
Before the event, we can review preferred eras and genres, must-play songs, songs or styles to avoid, special moments, and any timing requirements that matter to you.
Planning matters
The best events are prepared before the first guest arrives.
Venue access, load-in, power, placement, event timing, special requests, and sound limitations are easier to solve in advance. We use the pre-event conversation to catch those details early.
Sound, options & service area
A practical mobile setup for gatherings up to about 400 people.
Sound service is intended for small to medium events of approximately 400 guests or fewer. Multiple wireless microphones are available for announcements, speeches, ceremonies, and other event needs.
Event and dance-floor lighting can be provided when requested in advance. Tell us the type of event and atmosphere you want so lighting requirements can be planned with the setup.
MC and hosting duties are available but are not assumed with every booking. If you want introductions, announcements, or active event hosting, specify that when requesting a quote.
Karaoke is not part of the standard setup, but it can be arranged with sufficient notice to obtain the necessary rental hardware. Additional rental costs may apply.
The primary music library is an extensive locally stored collection, reducing dependence on venue internet access. Online sources can serve as a fallback for appropriate guest requests when connectivity allows.
DJ service is generally available within approximately 100 miles of Florence, Kentucky. Venue location, travel, access, and schedule are confirmed before booking. Video and projection services are not currently offered.
Booking
Start with the date, venue, and type of event.
DJ services are scheduled by availability. Send the event date and location as early as possible so we can confirm whether the date is open.
We keep pricing straightforward for typical events, with final quotes adjusted for duration, travel, lighting, karaoke rental, unusual venue requirements, or other special requests.
If the venue or event has unusual timing, access, sound, power, or production requirements, include them with the initial request so they can be reviewed in advance.

Rates below are starting points for standard DJ service within the normal service area. Final pricing is confirmed after we review the venue, schedule, guest count, travel, and requested options.

A strong fit for many parties, school functions, business events, and reception-style gatherings.
Additional time
$60/hr
Add time to a standard booking when the schedule calls for a longer event.
Lighting, karaoke equipment rental, extended travel, complex setups, weddings requiring additional ceremony coverage, and other special production needs are quoted separately. MC service should be requested in advance.
