Marvel’s Spider-Man Shake-Up: Peter, Miles and the Big NYCC 2026 Comic Reveals
October 2026 comic news. New York Comic Con delivered enough Marvel announcements to keep readers comparing future pull lists well into 2027. The headline is a coming clash between the two best-known Spider-Men, but the publisher also previewed new Captain Marvel, Magneto and X-Men stories. If you collect monthly issues, now is an excellent time to separate what has been announced from what is actually available to order.
Peter Parker and Miles Morales: Crisis of Faith
Marvel revealed Crisis of Faith, a Spider-Man crossover planned to begin in April 2027. The story puts Peter Parker and Miles Morales together, then tests how much they still trust each other. Joe Kelly and Bryan Edward Hill are attached to the crossover, and Marvel has kept much of the plot under wraps.
Why is this a particularly interesting development? Peter and Miles appeal to overlapping but different generations of readers. A crossover that changes their relationship could create interest across multiple ongoing titles. But the announcement is not a guarantee of a permanent status-quo change, and it is far too early to guess at collectible value.
More Spider-Man titles, not just one event
The convention announcements also included a new Spider-Man Noir mystery involving Venom Noir and another Spider-Punk solo project. These offer notably different corners of the Spider-Man universe: detective-flavored noir for one audience and Hobie Brown’s rebellious world for another. An anthology named Marvel SFX: Thwip was also teased.
For readers building a monthly pull list, the practical step is to track the individual series’ final solicitation details as publishers release them, rather than treating the convention reveal as an order-ready listing.
Captain Marvel returns with a new creative team
G. Willow Wilson and artist Rachael Stott are set to launch a new Captain Marvel ongoing series in May 2027. The premise follows Carol Danvers after the events of Avengers: Armageddon. If you have been waiting for a fresh entry point for the character, this is one to watch when preview pages and solicitations arrive.
What’s new for mutant readers?
Magneto: End of Days is an eight-issue retrospective project from Brian Michael Bendis and Andrea Sorrentino, planned to start in February 2027. Marvel also announced X-Men: Regulators, a five-issue historical spin-off set in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Meanwhile, Uncanny X-Men is approaching its new ‘Soul Deep’ storyline.
These projects span very different reading interests. A retrospective may appeal to long-term Magneto fans; a period story may draw curious readers who do not ordinarily pick up a current-day superhero series. Neither should be mistaken for an already released comic.
How to keep up without hunting every issue
Conventions create the announcements, but your reading plan depends on release calendars, final order cutoff dates and your preferred format. Watch for official solicitations and talk with your comic retailer before the relevant ordering deadlines. At Nexus PC Works & Games, our comic subscription and pull-list services are intended to make keeping up with ongoing series easier. For books and collected editions outside the current catalog, we also offer a special-order request page.
We will continue watching which announced titles actually reach ordering and release, without guessing at variant scarcity, allocations or future resale prices.
